Dr. Erin Stevens received her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Northern Illinois University. She completed her predoctoral clinical psychology internship at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB)/Birmingham Veteran's Affairs (VA) Medical Center.


Dr. Stevens works with a wide range of ages including children, adolescents, and adults. She specializes in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) for anxiety and anxiety-related disorders. Common presentations include:

  • Stress and worry
  • Generalized anxiety
  • Social anxiety
  • Separation anxiety
  • Panic disorder
  • Phobias
  • Obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD)
  • Trauma and posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD)
  • Anxiety and depression
  • Mood/anxiety with concurrent health conditions (diabetes, HIV, etc.)







Dr. Stevens has an extensive background in psychological and neuropsychological assessment. She provides general diagnostic evaluations, as well as testing for cognitive and educational concerns:

  • Attention-deficit/hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)
  • Learning disorders
  • Personality testing
  • Intelligence Testing
  • Achievement Testing


Utilizing evidence-based assessments and therapies, which are those that are supported by research, Dr. Stevens strives to deliver expert treatment with a caring and individualized approach. Dr. Stevens is a professional member of the Association for Behavioral and Cognitive Therapies (ABCT), the Anxiety and Depression Association of America (ADAA), the Association for Psychological Science (APS), the American Psychological Association Society of Clinical Psychology (APA Division 12), and the International OCD Foundation (IOCDF).
