Dr. Steve Shapiro received his Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from the University of Miami. He completed his predoctoral clinical child / pediatric psychology internship at Duke Medical Center (NC). Dr. Shapiro is currently a faculty member in the Department of Psychology at Auburn University, where he served as Director of Clinical Training from 2005 and 2014. He remains very active in assessment training and supervision. 

Dr. Shapiro has over 25 years of professional experience with children, adolescents and adults, using contemporary approaches to provide comprehensive evaluations and tailored recommendations for

Attention-Deficit / Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), dyslexia and other learning disorders, executive functioning problems (e.g., organization, planning, time management), anxiety and depression, and giftedness. Dr. Shapiro’s practice at APG focuses on assessment services.
